Early Intervention education for ages 11-25's
Body Image Worries
Many young people struggle with how they see their bodies. For some, these worries become overwhelming — affecting confidence, mood, friendships and everyday life. This may include intense body checking, avoiding mirrors or social situations, distress around food, or constant reassurance‑seeking about appearance.

At Body Image Coach, we support young people and their families to understand what’s underneath these worries and to build a healthier, calmer relationship with their body and mind. Our approach is to educate people on how their mind works and how they can move away from limiting beliefs that do not serve them. Our focus is on body acceptance.

Who Are We?
We are a small qualified team who support young people, providing early intervention psychoeducation (training) for body image anxieties. We are accredited with quality care frameworks and have worked across the mental health sector, including with body image anxieties for over 30 years, with combined lived experience.
Where Are We?
We are a fully digital online service across the UK. A not for profit enterprise delivering (on demand) pre recorded animation workshops. Please get in touch to find out which parts of the UK are funded. We are currently funded in West Yorkshire by WYCA and The Big Lottery.
What Do We do?
Our programme(s) run across 6 weeks. Each programme consists of pre-recorded animated workshops. We deliver to participants individually to ensure they are comfortable in their safe space, with parent supervision for under 18's.
Who Is It For?
We currently support ages 11- 16 and
16 - 25. We take referrals from parents, healthcare and educational providers. You can make your own referral if you are 18 or over. Please note: we do not provide clinical assessment, treatment or monitoring, if you need assistance with this we encourage you to speak with your GP, who can arrange specialist assessment or treatment in line with NICE (and SIGN in Scotland) guidelines.

Programme Overview

Our 6-week early intervention programme is designed to promote positive body image and support individuals experiencing body image anxieties and early mental health challenges linked to self-perception. The programme is suitable for anyone struggling with thoughts, feelings, beliefs, habits, or triggers connected to body image.

Parents/carers — or participants over the age of 18 — receive weekly workshops via email, allowing sessions to be completed flexibly from the comfort of home. Each workshop combines psychoeducation and engaging animation with accompanying workbook activities to support reflection and learning.

We do not currently deliver face-to-face programmes directly within schools. Instead, schools, parents, carers, and other professionals can refer individuals to us, and we work with young people either in their own safe space online or within an appropriate private space in school. All under-18s must be supervised by a parent or guardian throughout participation.
Before starting the programme, all participants complete screening, safeguarding, GDPR, and coaching agreement documentation to ensure the service remains within the scope of body image support and psychoeducation.
