Early Intervention for ages 11-25's
Body Image Worries
Many young people struggle with how they see their bodies. For some, these worries become overwhelming — affecting confidence, mood, friendships, eating habits, and everyday life. This may include intense body checking, avoiding mirrors or social situations, distress around food, or constant reassurance‑seeking about appearance.

At Body Image Coach, we support young people and their families to understand what’s underneath these worries and to build a healthier, calmer relationship with their body and mind. Our approach is to educate people on how their mind works and how they can change those core beliefs that are no longer serving them. We do this through video animation, peer support groups and 1-1 coaching - online.

Programme Overview

Our 6-week early intervention is designed to promote positive body image and support early mental health challenges related to self-perception, eating disorders and BDD. Participant’s parents/carers or yourself if you are accessing the program and are over 18, receive workshops via email, which are accessed from the comfort of your own home, giving you the flexibly to watch them around your busy schedule. Each workshop is like attending a coaching and psychoeducational session as participants work through the booklet print out and video which is in animation for deeper engagement. Each participant can also engage in interactive peer support group sessions with a trained body image coach, as well as 1-1 coaching session/s (optional and after the program is delivered) if wished. We do not currently deliver face to face work to schools. Instead, schools and other providers/parents, refer to us as and when, and we work with young people individually in their safe space or in a school setting private space.
